Municipal authorities visit Green Valley and get to know the Innovation Smart District project up close

Panama City, June 24, 2025 — The Municipal Council of Panama, chaired by Mayor Mayer Mizrachi, paid an official visit to the Metropolitan School facilities in Green Valley, as part of the celebration of the 45th anniversary of the Pedregal District. The activity was organized by the Pedregal Community Board, led by the Honorable Representative Luis Constante, and was attended by councilors, local authorities and representatives of the technological ecosystem.

During the day, Mayor Mizrachi held a conversation with the CEO of Innovation Smart District (ISD), Carlos Malo de Molina, in which they discussed Panama's strategic role as a pole of attraction for talent and technology companies. Both agreed on the need to promote spaces that promote collaboration between the public and private sectors to build a more competitive and innovative environment.

The mayor said:

“I was not aware that something like this was happening within the district. I am pleasantly surprised by the level of infrastructure, vision and purpose that this project represents.”

For his part, the CEO of ISD, Carlos Malo de Molina, said:

“It's a real honor for us to receive this type of visitor. We firmly believe that working together with the authorities and the community is essential to build a solid and sustainable innovation ecosystem in Panama.”

Council members and other attendees praised the quality of Green Valley's infrastructure and its focus on long-term urban, educational and technological development.
